The word modern is true and applicable in all ages. It can be ancient if it came before me, it can be futuristic if it came after me, and that which we adhere to is modern.
But just as a tree does not grow without roots, plants do not flower without seeds, similarly, any new phenomenon comes from the older iterations or sources. But very few of us know what those roots are and how they are still showing the path forward towards the future.
From Vedic India to modern India, Saptapadi and other short stories are written based on how our protagonists are still, knowingly, or unknowingly, singing the praises of life and telling the story of moving forward.
