Everyone loves to dance and so do I. When I started my own Dance School, I was overwhelmed by the number of children who came to learn. What struck me most was the barrage of questions about Manipuri dance. 

Everyone had an idea about Kathak, Bharatanatyam, and Odissi, but Manipuri dance? It was a mystery to most people. Was it a folk dance? Or classical? Who are the Manipuris? Where are they from? 

This book is intended to introduce the graceful and unique Manipuri dance along with the beautiful culture from relatively unexplored corners of Northeast India.
